Which Shoe Cut Is The Perfect One For You?

There are perhaps three kinds of shoe cuts: a high cut, a mid cut, and a low cut. Each is useful in its own way and each has its applications ranging from sports, to normal, daily activities. Which kind of cut do you think is right for you?

That question usually depends on what type of person you are. Sometimes it's a question of use, like if you're athletic or just someone who isn't aiming to go pro but can also show a thing or two. There's also the matter of comfort, as in which shoe type is most comfortable for you.

Another important thing, don't decide on what brand you're going to pick on yet. If you do that, you're already limiting your choices to an already limited selection of shoes out there. If this would help for you at all, here are a few opinions as to what shoe cut would fit you.

1. High cut shoes

This kind of shoe is usually used for basketball. The risk of having a sprained ankle while playing ball is quite prevalent in this sport. Several kids have experienced it out in the park and several professional athletes have also experienced spraining their ankles, even as high up as the NBA Finals. There's no avoiding a sprained ankle as this can happen to you no matter how physically fit or how tough you may be. But there is one thing that can help you, your shoe. Having a high cut shoe can help prevent or lessen the extent of your injury. Some high cut shoes that are designed for athletic use are made that way to cover your ankles. So that it has some degree of support when you move around a lot or jump a lot.

2. Mid cut shoes

If you're a tennis player, football player, a runner, or just even training for any of these sports, chances are you're going to be putting on a pair of mid cut, cross training shoes or any other counterpart that's designed as a mid cut shoe. It all depends on the user we think. If you're comfortable wearing a certain type of shoe during a certain event, then you would definitely have to go with your instincts. You control your style of play and it all depends on you on whether you would be a good, or even a great player. Ankle sprains, however, also pose a certain risk to sports such as these. So be careful as well.

3. Low cut shoes

The only sport you should play with low cut shoes is chess. Getting yourself injured in that kind of sport would truly be something amazing. Wearing a pair of low cut shoes greatly increases the risk of you suffering from ankle sprains or any other foot related injury. If you plan on wearing low cuts, make sure you're not going to be doing any physically demanding sport. You know, just to be on the safe side of things.
